Well soon as the Anet devs get off their lazy ass's about some collecters. Theres like 6 known collecters that get ganked and kill by mobs right off once players enter the map. There has been some off chances that mobs did not aggro til players got close enough to see the collecters as they got offed by aggroing mobs.

a list of where and which monsters drop the items the collectors collect might be useful, as well as a list for each set of armor for each area, or atleast the most frequented areas, i cant do much right now or i would help

Looking for a desert or lower shiverpeak collector offering an air wand with +15 energy and -1 energy regen or a storm artifact with +12/+15/-1/+30...

Anyone found one yet? I know they had items like these earlier in the game, but they aren't max damage and Max foci energy...

If ppl still want to know, there are two ascalon collector bows at the desert, 1 short bow and the other im not certain if its recurve or longbow (although its been posted here its a longbow, making the lornars pass collector useless).

the shortbow version is at skyward reach and requires 5 dessicated hydra claws. Its BEHIND that big plateau of ascension and is near the teleporter in that area. Its not difficult to reach if u have a runner and hydra claws are easy to get if u have a decent protection monk to counter the hydra's meteor shower.

Im surprised that I couldnt find a more comprehensive collector guide. The prima guide may be outdated but the locations are still collect. Ive successfully looked at all collectors in both the desert and the southern part of shiverpeak (all areas AFTER ascension, including lornars and snakedance).

I was kind of disappointed at first that there was no decent primary one-handed wand or rod for monks who specialize in protection or healing but finally found a +15 energy -1 eng regen rod right outside quarrel falls (non 7-13 damage only).

Its unusual that there are many pretty decent collector items at kryta. Theres even a +30 hp, +1 healing prayers (20% when using skills) healing icon at maguuma stade but with only +10 energy.

Anyway although i was kinda shortsighted and didnt bother writing down this information when i was getting it , I know the basic combinations that exist for collector items. What variants exist for all, Im not certain but anyway this might give someone an idea of wats available.

Melee Weapons:
+20% damage (while Hexed) <non-max weapons only that i found in kryta>
+15% damage (while enchanted) <max damage available, in desert and shiverpeak>
+15% damage (whine in stance) <max damage available, in desert and shiverpeak>
Hammers, Axes and Swords available for all of the above

Bows:
+20% damage (while hexed) <non-max as well>
+15% damage (while enchanted) <max damage available, in desert and shiverpeak> ==> longbow and shortbow are available and what looks like a hornbow
+15% damage (whine HP>%50) <max damage available, in desert and shiverpeak> ==> recurve type is only available at mineral springs

Off-Hand Mage Items (Monk, Elementalist, Necromancer, Mesmer)
+12 energy +20% chance for faster skill recharge, +20% chance for faster casting (readily available for most attribute focuses for all mage professions)
+12 energy +15 energy -1 energy regen +30 hp (available for protection, healing, divine favor also for soul reaping and curses that I know of).

Im not certain what types are available for all of below:
+10 energy +1 apprioriate attribute (20% chance while using appropriate skills) +30 hp
+10 energy +5 armor (while enchanted) +45 hp (while enchanted)
+8 energy +5 energy (while hp > 75%) ==> only seen this for fast casting

Primary Hand Mage Items (wands and rods):
Max Damage with +20% chance skill recharge
7-13 damage with +15 energy, -1 energy regen

Anyone know where and which collectors offer nice Monk Weapon and secondary weapons? (like a rod/symbol etc.) with nice nergy bonuses. Thanks. I'd prefer it in a private message if possible.

smiter/protector/healing monk? You want a lot of energy as trade off to energy regen?

If these are your main items, probably the best you can do is obtain the standard +12 energy, 20/20 healing icon or opt to go for the +10 but with +1 to healing prayers (20% chance) and +30 hp.

For primary, this is tough. Again if your just in need of a large eng cache, get the holy rod +15 energy -1 eng regen. Otherwise ur stuck with crappy smiting and holy rods which give you +20% to increase skill regen.

Im assuming tho you want the large energy bonuses:

Holy Rod: 7-13 fire damage (8 divine favor) +15 energy -1 eng regen ==> collector outside querrel falls, wants 5 maguuma manes

Healing Icon: +12 energy (9 healing prayers) +15 energy -1 eng regen, +30 hp ==> collector at vulture drifts near teleporter (northern part), wants 5 iridescent griffon wings.

...is the extra energy really worth the Degen? I suppose I could put non degen on switch to recover between battles but.. is it really even worth it? (I'm a protector/healer)

Well, like everything in GW there are tradeoffs... longer range is usually traded for steeper trajectory and/or faster RoF. "Useless" is probably not the correct term here. However maxpower's statement is confirmed. There is indeed a longbow-range Ascalon at Sanbert now. Sir Pohl Sanbert's inventory and a shot of the approximate bow range.

im a prot/heal monk as well and i switch to the holy rod with +15 eng and the +27 icon (total -2 degen) whenever i need the huge cache of mana. I normally use a bow since i use marksmans wager to get energy as well (blessed signet build with lifebond/prot bond). the 15+27 energy helps in tight situations such as when my entire party is all down on hp as a result of hexes and area effects spells (u can practically fire 3 heal parties with it which usually brings most of the party back to max... any other healing spell (except heal area) will take too much time to cast especially if ur party is far away from each other which is usually the case in 8 member groups).

Of course pulling that kind of stunt off would basicly disable you from casting spells for the rest of the battle your in. But being able to restore your entire parties health to close to max when your entire group is about to die could, by itself be enough to win you the fight.

This is obviously not as effective in PvP since players all hunt down the monk, but im sure there are other uses for a large cache of energy especially with energy draining mesmers in the other team.

Is there a collectors axe with +15% over 50? if its in this thread, please tell me which page. (i used the search but it would just ignore "axe" because its too short)

no axes >50% hp unfortunately. Seems that only exists for bows. Ive already checked all of shiverpeak and the crystal desert. BTW does anyone have a site which i can submit images of all the collectors (i have all the shiverpeak and desert collectors already).

Is there an Ascalon bow (Flatbow) out there that gives 15% whlie health is above 50%?
I've only been able to find one with 15% while enchanted.

Hi i was wondering if anyone knew where to get a Focus Item for a Mesmer that has the stats...


Energy +12 (req Illusion magic or Fast casting)
Energy +15
Energy regeneration -1
HP+30

i found one in the desert but it required domination magic...

if anyone could help that would be great
